The best workflow is to create DTM from the point cloud (.pod) directly as Alistair said. IN Rail track SS2 (08.11.07.xxx) it is using Data Acquisition tools from the task bar. In Rail Track SS4 (08.11.09.xxx) it is from the civil tools task, Terrain Model>Create Terrain Model from point clouds. The workflow is almost the same in SS2 and SS4 Attach point cloud: lot of different formats but the result will be pod file. Clip if necessary Create Terrain Model from Point Clouds: use filters to reduce the number of points if necessary If you need the DTM just export the terrain model as DTM, available when clicking on the TM from the toolbar or from the task bar
