My best choice is to use Civil Tools task bar to access all OpenRoads Technology tools. But You can also find them in Tools menu. Civil geometry, Corridors, ... Cross Sections tools are in the Tools>Corridors>Cross-sections menu This has been done to split OpenRoads technology tools and legacy Rail Track commands. It doesn't happen with profile because it is 100% legacy commands. With no doubt, OpenRail CE is better than SS4. Homogeneous product, easier to learn, faster, it does integrate lot more features like Reality Modelling or MicroStation features such as Display Styles, Items, Reports that could solve many of our users business issues. We can still discuss compared to SS2 in term of pure Rail capabilities. Modelling capabilities of OpenRail are far better than what SS2/SS4 can do. No comparison. It is also more reactive, seeing instantaneously the result of your action in the 3D model. You can also cut any 3D element whatever the provenance either in profile and cross section. That could be a crucial advantage. However, regression tools are still a little more efficient in Rail Track and there are still some missing pieces like Mutliple Regression Analysis (Multiple Elements Connector is available in OpenRail). It should be there soon. Then you can find some lacks in annotation capabilities but it does improve from version to version so you need to do a test project to check if you can achieve what you need. And there is some time to spend on setting up your workspace for OpenRail.
