Hello jpln, thanks for your help. 1. Solved with the help of your link. Very useful and clarifying. 2. I work with point clouds as a surface to check clearance in tunnels. For this, I generate a XYZ file from point cloud which previously I’ve reduced its density. Then I import this file into a surface. Next step is to create X-sections. In SS2 you can include Projected Features from a surface with a bandwidth definition (see the picture) to obtain slices of the active surface. With this workflow, it is possible to obtain x-sections with existing points projected according to defined bandwidth. I don’t know how to project features in X-Sections in SS10. But in ORLD I’ve found the solution in OpenRail-Wiki at next entry: https://communities.bentley.com/products/rail_design/w/rail_design__wiki/47844/xsections---how-to-display-point-clouds 3. As the same as above, I use this command for clearance checking, using the section of the vehicle as a cell. For this issue I have a Service Request opened because in SS10 I’m not able to run the command (SR#7001205403). But in ORLD this workflow can be done with Sweep Envelope command as I’ve found too in OpenRail-Wiki at next entry: https://communities.bentley.com/products/rail_design/w/rail_design__wiki/50886/sweep-envelope Thanks again.
